Steve Masters Returns to Live 105

San Francisco's Live 105 has brought veteran disc jockey Steve Masters back to helm its morning show, Masters In The Morning, beginning April 1, 2013. No joke! Those who are familiar with the station’s history will remember him as a major fixture there from 1984 to 1998, serving as its original music director and playing a significant role in leading the 'modern rock revolution.'

Masters was an on-air DJ at Live 105 from 1984 to 1998, during which time he created his own label Tripindicular Records. He later worked in the music and video game industries (forming his own company GotGame) and reappeared for a short stint in 2002, but this is no less than an epic and surprise return. Spud (the shows producer), who spent more than two decades at the station as the promotions director and manager, was at Pacific.FM in recent years and has his own surfpop band, Drifting Sand.

Full disclosure: Steve and Spud are close friends of SHV; CDMartini worked at Live 105 from 1988 to 1995.
