Garage-rocker Jack White's raw live performance was a highlight of the
2013 Grammy Awards broadcast. The first part of White's two-song jam
featured Huntsville, Alabama native Carla Azar on drums, for the intimate, Bob
Dylan-esque ballad "Love Interruption."
Azar is a
member of White's all-female band, The Peacocks. White, former frontman
of early-2000s Detroit sensations The White Stripes, also maintains an
all-male combo, The Buzzards, whom accompanied him during his second
Grammys number, the incendiary "Freedom at 21."
