At the edge of downtown L.A., Janis Joplin’s style stepped into high fashion.
The rock ‘n’ roll legend’s brother Michael Joplin and her niece Malyn Joplin visited a venue both dicey and artsy, One-Eyed Gypsy, on October 22, 2012 to take in a preview of Made For Pearl, a better contemporary line inspired by Janis Joplin.
For an update on Janis' Summer of Love, thrift shop- fabulous look, the Joplin estate worked with designer Katie Kay Mead who has championed bohemian and local designers at her boutique GatherLA. The result was a current look that Janis would have approved of Malyn said. MORE HERE & HERE
