THE Beach Boys may be celebrating their 50-year anniversary but don't you dare call them "oldies".
The 1960s surf-rock vocal group are touring Australia this month (August 2012) complete with three original members, song writing guru Brian Wilson, 69; his cousin and vocalist Mike Love, 71; and guitarist Al Jardine, 69, his high-school classmate. All were on board in Hawthorne, California, when the group's first single Surfin' was released in October 1961.
But judging by the fine print in previous tour contracts the "boys" are a bit sensitive about their age. MORE HERE
